Dan Martel
Team Engineering
Dan Martel is the President and Senior Structural Engineer at Team Engineering in Bedford, where he enjoys designing challenging new and building renovation projects. Dan spent the first 10 years of his career designing bridges and transportation structures throughout New England. He has Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He and his wife Amy spend most of their time chasing their two young kids all over town. Dan enjoys all the outdoors New England has to offer, including hiking, skiing, biking, and coaching little league baseball.

Kayla Hampe, P.E.
Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc.
Kayla Hampe is a Senior Project Engineer with Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. in Portsmouth, NH, with a focus on Structural and Hydraulic Engineering for the Ground Transportation Division. She earned her BS in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire, and her MS in Structural Engineering from Lehigh University. Kayla is a Licensed Professional Engineer in New Hampshire and Maine, and she has over 10 years of experience with a diverse background in the design and analysis of bridges, building envelopes, and other structures for new construction and rehabilitation projects. Kayla has been the Co-chair of the Professional Development Committee for SENH since 2018. She is also a member of NCSEA’s External Communications Committee and is a Co-chair of the Students and Educators Communications Subcommittee. She was named the New Hampshire Young Engineer of the year in 2022. Outside of work and professional activities, Kayla loves being with her family including her pets, and volunteering on various service projects.

Jonathan Sproul, P.E.
PROCON
Jonathan Sproul is a Senior Structural Engineer at PROCON where he performs structural design for various commercial, residential, aviation, medical and hospitality building developments across the Northeast. Jonathan earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis on Structures, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech). In addition to his work at PROCON, he has been with Massachusetts Task Force 1 (MA-TF1) as a Structures Specialist for the past 6 years. In this time, he has deployed to Hurricane Ida (2021), Hurricane Ian (2022), the 2023 Vermont Floods and Hurricane Helene (2024) to assist the team with search and rescue operations. Jonathan is a past SENH Professional Development Committee member. Jonathan lives in Litchfield, NH with his wife, Stephanie, his daughters, Ayla & Emma and their dog, Yarra. He enjoys being outside and spending summer weekends at the lake with family.

Rebecca Lubrano, P.E.
Simpson Gumpertz & Heger
Rebecca Lubrano is a Senior Project Manager with Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH). Rebecca got her Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics and her Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering, both from Cornell University. At SGH, Rebecca gets to work on a variety of project types, including sculptures, historic renovations, and new building designs. The diversity of these project types has exposed Rebecca to a range of material design experiences, from more typical concrete, steel, wood, and masonry to less typical materials such as structural stone, glass, and carbon fiber. When looking for a home in 2012, Rebecca and her husband fell in love with the state of New Hampshire. They soon bought a house on 30 acres of land in Goffstown, where they still reside with their three children, Zeke, Micah, and Leah. Rebecca has been a member of SENH's Professional Development Committee since 2020, currently serving as co-chair.

Katelyn Welch, P.E.
Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc.
Katie Welch is a structural project engineer with Hoyle Tanner. She completed both her undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of New Hampshire, earning a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering. At Hoyle Tanner, Katie gets to work on the design and analysis of bridges, roadways, and other structures for new construction and rehabilitation projects. Beyond her design and technical efforts, Katie also leads numerous projects in the stakeholder engagement process to ensure smooth transition from design through the construction phase of many projects. Before serving on the board of directors, she was the Co-Chair of SENH’s Professional Development Committee starting in 2018. Katie was recently recognized as NH’s 2024 Young Engineer of the Year. Outside of work and professional activities, Katie loves spending time with family, snowboarding in the winter, and being on Lake Winnipesaukee in the summer.

Public Relation Committee
The goal of the Public Relations Committee is to be the voice of the structural engineering profession in New Hampshire, to communicate SENH’s current activities, and to promote involvement in activities of our professional organization to our membership and the public. The Committee accomplishes these initiatives through the SENH newsletter, maintaining social media accounts, publishing letters to state boards and governing bodies, and responding to Media requests. In addition, the Public Relations Committee oversees SENH’s annual structural engineering scholarship program for college students.
Structural Engineering Excellence Awards Committee
Structural Engineering Licensure Committee
The goal of this committee is to investigate the current licensure process used by the New Hampshire Board of Professional Engineers; to investigate the current structural engineering licensure process used in other states; to research if separate structural engineering licensure should be pursued in New Hampshire; and to make a licensure recommendation to the SENH Board of Directors and advise the New Hampshire Board of Professional Engineers.
Membership Committee
- Add members, particularly from firms not currently represented,
- Increase attendance at all SENH meetings and sponsored events,
- Connect with membership to understand their perspective and better their experience,
- Increase committee membership, and
- Elevate committee members to leadership roles such as committee chairs and Board members/officers.
The younger member group strives to connect young individuals working in structural engineering related fields to encourage networking, exchange of ideas, learning, and professional development opportunities. This group offers social activities, meetings, and volunteer opportunities to help accomplish this goal. Being a member of this group is particularly valuable to those seeking colleagues who may hold similar positions or have similar career circumstances where collaboration may be helpful (i.e. studying for the PE Exam).
NCSEA
NCSEA unifies local structural engineering associations, or Member Organizations (MO’s), at the national level. NCSEA provides a unified voice for structural engineers in the architecture, engineering, and construction community. NCSEA, in partnership with its Member Organizations (MOs), supports practicing structural engineers to be highly qualified professionals and successful leaders.
SENH Appointments
Joint Committee of N.H. Engineering Societies
The goal of this committee is to unite all engineers in the state of New Hampshire. It strives to make licensure as a professional engineer more meaningful and to advance the professional, social, and economic interests of professional engineers. This committee is organized by the New Hampshire chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers and an appointed SENH member serves on this committee to represent the structural engineering profession.
