Board of Director Biographies

Tony Coviello, P.E., President
Tony joined the Board of Directors in 2008. Currently he is the owner of Summit Engineering, PLLC located in Portsmouth, NH. Tony earned his BSCE and MSCE from the University of New Hampshire. After graduating, he worked for firms in Boston and Portsmouth designing and investigating building structures. He is licensed in all six New England states. Tony lives in Portsmouth with his wife Cheryl and two children, Rose and Frank. Tony has only two more mountains to summit to complete all 48 Four Thousand Footers in NH.

Ed Bergeron, P.E., Vice President
Ed joined the SENH Board in 2009. Previously, he has been the President of ACEC-NH and the NH Young Engineer and Engineer of the Year. He served 10 years on the NH Engineers Board and is a past chair of the NH Joint Board. He also has served on many ASCE, SEI and CASE national committees representing the structural engineering and business management branches of our profession. Ed also has been an associate editor of the ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering. He has recently completed an engineering management book titled "A Pocket Guide to Management for Engineers and Surveyors". Ed is the president of H.E. Bergeron Engineers, Inc. (HEB), located in North Conway, which is 35 years old this year. He graduated UNH with a BS in Civil Engineering and has taken many masters level engineering courses as well as taught Timber Design at UNH. He also has an MBA from Plymouth State University and teaches seminars in engineering management monthly at UNH. Ed is licensed in 13 states and married to Kathy Bergeron. They have two daughters who are engineers.

Sean James, P.E., Secretary
Sean joined the Board of Directors in 2009.  He is a Senior Engineer / Project Manager for Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Inc. located in Manchester, NH.  He earned a BS and MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maine and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.  Sean's design experience is focused on bridge design and rehabilitation with a specialization in covered bridges and other historic bridges.  He also has design experience with parking garages and wastewater treatment facilities.  He currently resides in Candia with his wife and two sons where he serves as vice chairman of the Planning Board.

Kyle Roy, P.E., SECB Treasurer
Kyle joined the Board of Directors in 2008.   He is currently a Senior Structural Engineer for TF Moran Inc, a Civil, Structural, and Land Surveying firm located in Bedford, NH.  Kyle received his BCE from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA.  Kyle’s design experience over the last 12 years has focused on the design of structural building projects of new construction as well as the evaluation of existing structures for adaptive re-use and additions.  He has a diverse portfolio of building project types from industrial, commercial, residential, institutional, municipal to specialty structures located throughout New England, Florida, Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas, USVI.  Kyle is licensed as a professional engineer in the states of NH, ME, MA, CT, and NY.  He currently resides in Londonderry, NH with his wife and one son.

Norm Cote, P.E., Director-at-Large
Norm joined the board of directors in 2009. Currently, he is the owner and principal engineer of NGC Structural, LLC located in Dover, New Hampshire. Norm earned his BSCE from the University of New Hampshire and his MSCE from Northeastern University. He acquired twenty years of structural experience with several multi-disciplinary design firms in industrial and manufacturing facilities, power plants and marine facilities as well as commercial, retail and residential buildings prior to starting his own consulting structural engineering firm in 1997.  He is currently licensed as a professional structural engineer in all six New England states plus six other states. He lives in Dover, New Hampshire with his wife and two daughters
